A tasty, easy snack

The poor raw peanut. Often overlooked in the supermarkets, failing to allure consumers, or compete with the shiny prepackaged, overpriced roasted, salted, honey glazed, dry roasted nuts hanging in premium locations around the snack aisles.

Think again fancy nuts... can you compete with piping hot, salted, freshly home-roasted peanuts? I think not.

I just poured the peanuts into an oven dish, lightly coated them in olive oil and salt, then baked them on about 180C for 15-20 minutes, checking on them often to toss them around.
The only real thing to check is that they don't burn because when they go, they go... so check them often.

Once they look golden and the skins are flaking off, take them out sprinkle generously with salt and serve them in a bowl. Delish!
